From Serving at Wimbledon
to Serving the World's Poor

Anne Guerrant played tennis on the pro tour for 9 years, ranking as
high as #11 in the world.  She played at Wimbledon, the US Open, and
all the major tournaments.  Her record includes wins over Martina
Navratilova and Billie Jean King.  She traveled all over the world and was
humbled and moved by the extreme poverty she saw in third world
countries that most people only see on TV.   In 2005 she and her
husband, Terry, visited a micro credit lending program in India.  They
were truly inspired by the dignity and ambition of the women
entrepreneurs they met. They started the Guerrant Foundation, Inc. to
help women and families improve their lives through tiny loans to start
businesses.  They take no salaries from the foundation.
Since they began their fund raising and personal donations  in mid-
2006, they have helped over 14,700 of the world's poorest people to
start businesses. 100% of donations made to the Guerrant Foundation
are passed through to either the Grameen Foundation,  Opportunity
International,  BRAC, or Jamii Bora.  TERRY AND ANNE GUERRANT
WILL MATCH DONATIONS UP TO $100,000 IN 2011.
The Guerrants' goal is to personally give a million dollars and
to raise another million for this desperately urgent and
important cause.  They take no salaries from the foundation.
